Voices of Prepaid India (VoPI) is a programme of activities funded by companies from across the prepaid industry’s value chain: (issuers (including banks and telcos), programme managers, transaction processors, distributors, merchant acquirers, merchants, agencies, settlement partners or networks, card manufacturers and the regulator). The programmes purpose is to stimulate demand for prepaid products and services in India by creating awareness, understanding and interest in prepaid as an attractive solution for businesses and government. The programme will position Voices of Prepaid India as the leading advocates of prepaid in India.
Target Audience & Funding
The programme will look to target the following audiences:
- Businesses that can use prepaid products for motivation, incentive and reward
- Retailers that can use prepaid for gifting, promotions, distribution and loyalty
- Institutions that can use general purpose reloadable products or semi-open loop prepaid products for travel, expenses, disbursements, payroll and employee benefits
The programme has three work-streams, each with its own objectives and defined deliverables, which are synergistic and reinforcing:
- Events
- Public Relations
- Community Relations
Workstreams are managed by the dedicated local Programme Director, Ajay Kumar, under the guidance of the Advisory Board’s chairman. Workstreams draw on the central resources of Global Prepaid Exchange.
